The Nielsen Sonic SubSonic .22 is a compact front-mounted silencer designed specifically for .22 LR rifles and compatible .22-calibre air rifles.
Its lightweight aluminium construction adds approximately 123 g to the firearm, while its slim 35 mm diameter maintains a compact profile. The silencer measures approximately 135 mm long and extends the firearm by the full 135 mm.
The modular construction allows the unit to be disassembled for maintenance. Up to five additional SubSonic .22 modules can also be fitted for increased internal volume and improved suppression. Additional modules are sold separately.

Compatibility notice:
This silencer is optimised for .22 LR and suitable .22-calibre air rifles. Nielsen Sonic specifically advises against using the SubSonic .22 on .22-250 rifles because of the cartridge’s substantially larger powder charge.
It is also not recommended for .17-calibre rifles. Nielsen offers a dedicated SubSonic .17 model for improved performance and durability with those cartridges.
Confirm the firearm’s exact calibre, 1/2×20 UNF muzzle thread, shoulder dimensions and bore alignment before use. Subsonic .22 LR ammunition will generally produce the quietest result because it avoids the bullet’s supersonic crack.
Maintenance:
- Remove the silencer after use and allow it to dry completely.
- Do not allow the barrel or silencer to become excessively hot.
- Clean with suitable oil and a soft cloth when necessary.
- Avoid alkaline cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners and abrasive products.
- Regularly separate the modules and apply suitable thread grease if continued disassembly is required.
