DNT Optics HS335R Hydra-LRF Thermal Scope
The DNT Optics HS335R Hydra-LRF Thermal Scope is a versatile multi-function thermal optic designed for hunters who want advanced imaging, ranging and ballistic functionality in one compact system.
The HS335R combines a standalone thermal scope, clip-on, handheld thermal monocular, laser rangefinder and DNT Ballistic Engine. Supplied with a QDM150 quick-detach mount, it allows convenient switching between handheld scanning and rifle-mounted configurations.
With its higher-resolution thermal sensor and 35mm objective lens, the HS335R provides an upgrade in thermal imaging performance while maintaining a compact and versatile design.
384×288 12μm Thermal Sensor
At the core of the HS335R is a 384×288 uncooled infrared sensor with a 12×12μm pixel size and an impressive NETD of ≤18mK @ 25°C.
The sensor operates at 50 FPS, producing smooth, real-time thermal imagery. DNT’s Image Super Resolution (ISR) technology enhances the image to near 640-equivalent resolution, helping preserve fine thermal details and improve overall image clarity.
35mm Objective Lens
The 35mm objective lens provides an effective balance between thermal image detail and viewing range. Combined with the 384×288 sensor, it is designed to deliver clear thermal imagery while supporting target recognition in demanding outdoor environments.
The HS335R has a 3× base magnification with digital magnification extending from 3× to 12×.
Its specified field of view is 13.2 yd × 9.9 yd at 100 yards.
Integrated Laser Rangefinder
The HS335R features an integrated high-precision laser rangefinder for measuring distances.
The supplied product information specifies a rangefinder distance of 5-1,300 yards, while the technical specification table lists 5-1,200 yards. The manufacturer’s current specification should therefore be confirmed before publishing a final range claim.
The measured distance works together with the integrated ballistic system to provide calculated drop compensation based on the selected ballistic profile.
DNT Ballistic Engine
The DNT Ballistic Engine combines range information with ballistic profiles to provide on-device ballistic calculation functionality.
Profiles can be adjusted directly through the HS335R or fine-tuned using the DNT App. This provides flexibility when configuring the thermal optic for different applications and conditions.
1024×768 Micro-OLED Display
The HS335R uses a 1024×768 Micro-OLED display with a 50Hz frame rate.
The high-resolution display complements the 384×288 thermal sensor and 50 FPS imaging system, providing smooth and detailed presentation of thermal images.
Multi-Function Thermal Platform
The HS335R is designed to perform multiple roles from a single compact platform:
- Standalone Thermal Scope
- Thermal Clip-On
- Handheld Thermal Monocular
- Laser Rangefinder
- DNT Ballistic Engine
The included QDM150 quick-detach mount makes it convenient to move between handheld and mounted configurations.
18650 Battery System
The HS335R operates using two 18650 flat-top batteries and provides approximately 4.5 hours of operating time.
For additional power flexibility, it supports 5V Type-C USB external power.
Built-In 32GB Memory and Wi-Fi
The HS335R includes 32GB of built-in memory and Wi-Fi connectivity for use with the DNT App.
The integrated memory provides onboard storage, while app connectivity allows additional configuration and control of supported functions.
Rugged IP67 Construction
Designed for demanding outdoor environments, the HS335R features a rugged, shock-resistant housing with an IP67 ingress protection rating.
The optic is rated for recoil up to .50 BMG and operates across temperatures from −20°C to 50°C / −4°F to 122°F.
This combination of environmental protection and recoil resistance makes the HS335R suitable for use in challenging outdoor conditions, including rain, snow and dusty environments.
