Spartan Hercules Tripod with Disc-Lok Spigot

The Spartan Precision Equipment Hercules Tripod (Disc-Lok Spigot Model) is a heavy-duty mechanical shooting support engineered for high-energy precision rifles and heavy-calibre shooting. Constructed from CNC-machined 7075-T7351 aerospace-grade billet aluminium and multi-layered carbon fibre, the system delivers rigid stability across an operating height range of 9.5 inches to 62.5 inches (24.1 cm to 158.8 cm). It features an integrated 38 mm ball head equipped with a 16 mm SUS303 stainless steel Disc-Lok spigot, providing a secure, high-strength interface designed to withstand severe recoil forces without slipping during competitive or field shooting.

Key Features

• Disc-Lok Spigot Architecture: Uses a 16 mm SUS303 stainless steel spigot paired with auto-gated locking clamp adapters to maintain a rigid, slip-free connection under heavy-recoil impulses.
• Integrated 38 mm Ball Head: Features a low-profile design with an ergonomic friction control lever for continuous 360-degree panning, elevation, and cant adjustments.
• Multi-Position Modular Legs: Four selectable leg pitch angles accommodate shooting positions from low prone to full standing, with detachable carbon fibre legs utilizing M14x1.5 modular threads for conversion into trekking poles or shelter supports.
• Environmental Stability: Outfitted with tungsten carbide feet protected by tethered synthetic rubber boots, alongside an included Dyneema ballast basket for wind dampening on uneven Australian terrain.
• Modular Compatibility: Connects natively with Spartan Disc-Lok adapters (including HD Picatinny and HD Arca-Swiss interfaces) and accepts optional 12 mm MagnaSwitch spigots or pan-head converters.

Who is the Spartan Hercules Tripod Disclok Spigot for?

• Precision Rifle Series (PRS) and Extreme Long Range (ELR) competitors — requires the severe recoil resistance of the 16 mm SUS303 stainless steel Disc-Lok spigot and a wide 9.5-inch to 62.5-inch height range to transition rapidly between positional barricades and prone stages.
• Long-range tactical precision rifle shooters — relies on the 5.0 lb (2.27 kg) chassis mass and integrated 38 mm ball head to maintain zero movement and smooth 360-degree cant and elevation tracking when firing heavy magnum calibres.
• Stationary big-game hunters and vehicle-based pest controllers — utilizes the M14x1.5 modular thread leg system and rigid 5.0 lb (2.27 kg) carbon-and-aluminium build to anchor large-calibre rifles for sustained fixed-position shooting.

Less suitable for: Backcountry alpine hunters prioritising ultralight pack weight, where a 5.0 lb (2.27 kg) heavy-duty shooting platform adds unnecessary bulk compared to lightweight, compact modular hunting tripods designed primarily for rapid field deployment.

Compatibility

The Hercules Disc-Lok module uses a 16mm stainless-steel spigot. It accepts compatible Disc-Lok and HD Disc-Lok adapters. However, it does not accept Spartan’s 12mm MagnaSwitch adapters.
