MDT XRS Chassis System – Howa 1500 SA / Weatherby Vanguard SA – FDE

The MDT XRS Chassis System for Howa 1500 SA / Weatherby Vanguard SA combines the familiar ergonomics of a traditional rifle stock with the performance and adjustability of a modern precision rifle chassis. Designed for shooters who want a traditional stock profile without sacrificing modern chassis features, the XRS provides a versatile platform for hunting, target shooting and custom rifle builds.

At its core, the MDT XRS Chassis System uses a full-length CNC-machined 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum core, surrounded by high-strength textured polymer panels. This combination provides a rigid foundation while helping insulate the shooter’s hands from changing environmental conditions.

The precision aluminum V-block bedding system is designed to provide a secure interface for the rifle action while supporting consistent fit and function.

Traditional Stock Feel With Modern Chassis Performance

The MDT XRS Chassis System is designed for shooters who prefer the familiar shape and handling characteristics of a traditional rifle stock while wanting the functionality of a modern chassis.

The XRS combines traditional stock ergonomics with features such as an adjustable buttstock, M-LOK forend, V-block bedding, AICS magazine compatibility and a free-floating barrel.

This makes the XRS a versatile upgrade for a factory rifle or a solid foundation for a custom rifle build.

6061 Aluminum Core and Polymer Panels

At the heart of the XRS Chassis System is a full-length CNC-machined 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum core. The aluminum chassis core provides the rigid foundation required for a precision-oriented rifle platform.

High-strength textured polymer panels surround the aluminum core and provide insulation from environmental temperature changes. This combination is designed to provide a comfortable and durable interface during use.

Precision V-Block Bedding

The XRS features a precision aluminum V-block bedding system designed to provide a secure interface with the rifle action.

The bedding system supports consistent action fit while the chassis design maintains a free-floating barrel configuration.

Adjustable Length of Pull and Cheek Piece

The MDT XRS Chassis System offers adjustable length of pull using spacers, providing adjustment from 13.25″ to 15+ inches.

A quick-adjust cheek piece allows the cheek height to be changed to accommodate different scope heights and optic configurations, helping shooters establish a comfortable and consistent cheek weld.

Interchangeable Grip System

The XRS includes both vertical and angled grips, allowing shooters to select their preferred hand position.

The interchangeable grip system makes it possible to customize the relationship between the shooter’s hand and trigger for a more personalized setup.

AICS Magazine Compatibility

The MDT XRS Chassis System accepts standard AICS-pattern magazines and features an easy-to-manipulate ambidextrous magazine latch.

This provides convenient magazine access for both left- and right-handed shooters while maintaining compatibility with the widely used AICS magazine format.

12″ M-LOK Forend

The generous 12-inch forend incorporates M-LOK slots for accessory attachment. This allows compatible accessories to be mounted directly to the forend and provides options for adding ARCA or Picatinny rails.

The M-LOK design provides flexibility when configuring the rifle for hunting, range or precision applications.
