Continental Plus 10×42 ED Binoculars – SCBO-07

The Continental Plus 10×42 ED Binoculars combine ED glass optics, a built-in ranging reticle and a wide field of view for outdoor observation. Designed for hunting, wildlife viewing and other outdoor activities, these binoculars offer 10x magnification with 42mm objective lenses.

The optical system uses BaK-4 roof prisms and fully multi-coated lenses. Furthermore, phase-correction and dielectric coatings help improve image quality and light transmission. With a stated light transmission of 88%, the binoculars support bright viewing in a range of outdoor conditions.

The integrated rotating MIL-L reticle adds another practical feature. By adjusting the left eyecup, you can rotate the reticle within the field of view to suit your viewing position.

ED Glass Optics for Clear Viewing

The Continental Plus 10×42 ED Binoculars feature an optical system with ED glass and BaK-4 roof prisms. Their fully multi-coated lenses help reduce unwanted reflections, while phase-correction and dielectric coatings support optical performance.

In addition, the 42mm objective lenses provide a useful balance between magnification and light gathering. The 10x magnification helps you observe distant subjects, while the 7° angular field of view provides a broad viewing area.

The binoculars also offer a minimum focusing distance of 2.5 metres. As a result, they can be used to observe subjects at both relatively close and greater distances.

Built-In Ranging Reticle

These binoculars include a versatile ranging reticle that can help estimate a target’s height and distance when used with the appropriate reticle scale and known target dimensions.

Furthermore, the rotating MIL-L reticle can be repositioned within the field of view by adjusting the left eyecup. This feature helps you align the reticle with your preferred viewing position.

The reticle makes the Continental Plus a useful option for hunters and outdoor users who want more than standard binocular viewing. However, distance estimates depend on the target’s known or estimated dimensions and correct reticle use.

Durable, Comfortable Outdoor Design

The Continental Plus 10×42 ED Binoculars use a high-strength semi-aromatic thermoplastic housing with non-slip rubber armour. This design provides a secure grip during outdoor use.

Moreover, the twist-up eyecups help you adjust the viewing position to suit your needs. The right eyepiece also includes diopter adjustment from -4 to +4, allowing you to compensate for differences between your eyes.

With an IPX7 waterproof rating, the binoculars are designed to withstand temporary immersion under the conditions defined by that rating. In addition, their stated operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C supports use in varied outdoor environments.
