Cometa Orion BP Long Air Cylinder – OR500015_L

The Cometa OR500015_L is a replacement compressed-air cylinder for compatible full-size Cometa Orion BP bullpup PCP air rifles.

The cylinder stores the high-pressure air used to operate the rifle. It forms a central part of the Orion BP pneumatic system and must remain free from corrosion, impact damage and unauthorised modification.

The “L” suffix identifies the long-version cylinder. It should not be confused with the shorter reservoir fitted to the Orion BP Mini.

Long Cylinder Identification

The full-size Cometa Orion BP is published with a 300cc reservoir. The Orion BP Mini uses a smaller 225cc reservoir.

The OR500015_L reference is listed as the long bullpup cylinder. Exact capacity and permitted working pressure must always be confirmed from the markings on the supplied cylinder.

Never exceed the maximum pressure marked on the cylinder, even if another Orion model has a different published specification.

Replacement May Be Required When

• The original cylinder is dented or damaged
• Corrosion or deep surface pitting is present
• The cylinder threads are damaged
• The reservoir has failed a professional inspection
• The cylinder has exceeded an applicable service limit
• The rifle is undergoing a factory-standard rebuild

A leaking rifle does not always require a new cylinder. Leaks are often caused by O-rings, the filling valve, valve seat, pressure gauge adaptor or regulator.

Installation and Safety

This is a high-pressure component. The rifle must be unloaded and completely depressurised before the cylinder is removed.

Installation, inspection and pressure testing must be completed by a qualified PCP airgun technician.

Never:

• Drill, weld, heat or machine the cylinder
• Repair dents or corrosion by grinding
• Alter the cylinder threads
• Exceed the marked working pressure
• Use oxygen, carbon dioxide or another unsuitable gas
• Fit a damaged valve or sealing component

Only clean, dry compressed air from suitable PCP filling equipment should be used.
