Cometa Lynx PCP Regulator – LX000071

The Cometa Lynx Regulator is a replacement pressure-regulation component for compatible Cometa Lynx PCP air rifles.

The regulator reduces the high pressure stored inside the air reservoir to a controlled working pressure for each shot. This helps the rifle produce more consistent pellet velocity throughout the usable portion of the air fill.

A damaged, leaking, or incorrectly functioning regulator may cause inconsistent velocity, vertical point-of-impact changes, regulator creep, reduced shot count, or slow pressure recovery between shots.

Compatibility

The official Cometa Lynx parts diagram lists LX000071 for selected models within the Lynx series, including compatible versions of the:

• Cometa Lynx

The original diagram shows this regulator with the 220 cc Lynx bottle system.

Compatibility is not automatically guaranteed for:

• Lynx SPR

• Later F300 configurations
• Orion or Advance PCP rifles

How the Regulator Works

The air reservoir stores compressed air at a much higher pressure than the firing valve requires. The regulator reduces this pressure and supplies a controlled amount of air to the regulated chamber.

A correctly functioning regulator can help provide:

• More consistent muzzle velocity
• Reduced vertical point-of-impact variation
• Predictable performance over the shot string
• More efficient use of the available air
• Stable firing-valve operation

The regulator does not increase the reservoir’s maximum safe fill pressure. Always follow the pressure marking on the rifle and air reservoir.

Pressure Gauge Information

Some suppliers list LX000071 as a complete regulator kit with a pressure gauge. Other supply channels may package the regulator separately.

The pressure gauge, seals, bottle, and related fittings are included only when specifically stated or shown with the supplied product. Check the actual package contents before ordering if a gauge is required.

Installation and Safety

PCP air reservoirs contain compressed air at potentially dangerous pressure. The air rifle and reservoir must be completely depressurised according to Cometa’s instructions before the regulator is removed.

Installation and regulator testing should be completed by a qualified PCP airgun technician with the correct pressure-rated tools and test equipment.

Do not:

• Remove the regulator from a pressurised reservoir
• Fit it to an unconfirmed 300-bar reservoir
• Drill, grind, or modify the regulator
• Adjust internal settings without the correct test equipment
• Use damaged, incorrect, or reused seals
• Exceed the pressure marked on the reservoir

After installation, the complete system must be checked for leaks, correct pressure regulation, and safe operation before use.
