ATN BlazeHunter 650 LRF 3.5–28x Thermal Monocular – TIMNBLH650LRF
Short Description
Long-range thermal monocular featuring a 640×512, 12 μm sensor with <18 mK sensitivity, a 50 mm objective lens and 3.5–28x magnification. Includes an integrated 1,000-yard laser rangefinder, photo and video recording, Wi-Fi, 32 GB internal memory and two rechargeable batteries.
Product Description
The ATN BlazeHunter 650 LRF combines high-resolution thermal observation with an integrated laser rangefinder in a compact handheld unit.
Its 640×512 vanadium-oxide thermal sensor features a 12 μm pixel pitch, smooth 50 Hz refresh rate and <18 mK NETD thermal sensitivity. This allows the monocular to display small temperature differences and maintain useful image detail in darkness and difficult environmental conditions.
The 50 mm objective lens provides 3.5–28x magnification and an 8.7° × 6.9° field of view. This configuration is designed for longer-range observation and offers greater base magnification than the BlazeHunter 635 LRF.
An integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1,000 yards, approximately 914 metres. Single-measurement and 15-second continuous-ranging modes are available.
Photos and thermal videos can be saved to the built-in 32 GB memory. Integrated Wi-Fi connects the monocular to the ATN Blaze app for live viewing, recording control and gallery access on compatible mobile devices.
Two replaceable rechargeable 18650 batteries are supplied. Each battery provides up to seven hours of operation, giving up to 14 hours of combined field use.

Thermal Detection Range
ATN’s regional publications are inconsistent regarding the unit attached to the BlazeHunter 650 LRF detection figure:
- ATN USA publishes up to 2,600 yards.
- ATN Europe and UK publish a 2,600 figure under their regional metric presentation, with the table displaying “m/y.”
Do not represent 2,600 yards and 2,600 metres as equivalent distances.
Detection range means that a heat source may be detected under suitable conditions. It is not the same as recognition, identification or safe engagement range. Actual performance depends on the target’s size, temperature contrast, weather, humidity and vegetation.
Laser Rangefinder Performance
The product-specific laser-rangefinder rating is 1,000 yards, approximately 914 metres.
Actual ranging distance depends on:
- Target size
- Target reflectivity
- Target angle
- Atmospheric conditions
- Rain, fog, dust and humidity
- The operator’s ability to hold the monocular steady
Animals, trees and other low-reflectivity targets may provide shorter readings than walls, signs and other reflective surfaces.
Do not advertise the thermal detection figure as the measuring range of the laser rangefinder.

Laser and Operating Safety
Never look directly into the laser emitter or observe the active laser through magnifying optical equipment.
Do not direct the laser towards people, vehicles, aircraft or highly reflective surfaces. Use the rangefinder only in accordance with the ATN manual and applicable regulations.
Do not point the thermal objective lens directly at the sun or another intense energy source. Use only the specified battery type and supplied or manufacturer-approved charging equipment.
