Atlas BT65-LW17 | Gen. 2 CAL Atlas Bipod

The Atlas BT65-LW17 Gen. 2 CAL Atlas® Bipod is designed for shooters who want adjustable cant without a pan function. The CAL Series was created in response to requests for an Atlas bipod that keeps the bore perpendicular to the bipod legs. As a result, it provides a stable and controlled support platform for precision shooting.

The CAL Series retains the Atlas design’s five independent leg positions, including the patented 45° position. However, unlike pan-enabled models, the CAL does not have a pan function. This helps keep the rifle aligned while allowing the user to adjust cant as needed.

Adjustable Preloaded Cant

The Atlas BT65-LW17 provides an impressive 63° of adjustable, preloaded cant. An additional tension lever is also available through the original KMW Pod-Loc® system.

Therefore, users can adjust the cant to suit uneven terrain and different shooting positions while maintaining a stable support base. The wide 9–12.5″ footprint further adds support across the bipod’s range of movement.

Five Independent Leg Positions

The bipod features five independent leg positions at 0°, 45°, 90°, 135° and 180°. Furthermore, the patented 45° position gives users another practical support option when working around obstacles or adjusting the rifle’s position.

The legs are also designed not to rotate around the inner legs. In addition, the model features larger and stronger inner legs for added strength and dependable long-term use.

Strong Aluminium Construction

The Atlas BT65-LW17 is made from 6061-T6 aluminium with a Mil-Spec Type III hard coat anodised finish. Heat-treated stainless steel components are used throughout the bipod for added strength.

The included ADM-170-S lever mount attaches directly to Picatinny rail. It allows quick attachment and removal without tools. Moreover, the mount can be adjusted to fit both in-spec and out-of-spec Picatinny rails.
