Vanguard VEO XF 8×42 BAK4 Prism Binoculars

The Vanguard VEO XF 8×42 binoculars offer clear viewing, a compact design and reliable weather protection for outdoor use. With 8x magnification, 42mm objective lenses and BaK4 roof prisms, they provide a wide 7.6° view and a 133m field of view at 1000m. Furthermore, Multiguard® 3 fully multi-coated lenses help improve light transmission and image clarity.

The binoculars weigh just 660g and feature an open-bridge design. Therefore, they remain comfortable to hold during extended viewing. In addition, the Mitsubishi rubber armour provides a secure, non-slip grip while helping protect the body from everyday knocks.

BaK4 Prisms and Multiguard® 3 Optics

The Vanguard VEO XF 8×42 uses optical-quality glass and BaK4 roof prisms. Moreover, the fully multi-coated lenses help provide clear images with good contrast and colour detail.

The 42mm objective lenses work with the 8x magnification to provide a useful balance between detail and field of view. As a result, these binoculars are well suited to birdwatching, nature observation and general outdoor viewing.

The 2.1m near-focus distance also allows you to observe subjects at relatively close range. Meanwhile, the 20mm eye relief provides comfortable viewing for longer periods.

Waterproof, Fogproof and Nitrogen-Filled

The VEO XF is designed for changing outdoor conditions. The binoculars are fully waterproof and fogproof, while nitrogen filling helps reduce internal fogging when temperatures change.

Furthermore, the engineered tough-plastic body and Mitsubishi rubber armour provide a durable outer shell. The ergonomic open-bridge design also makes the binoculars comfortable to grip and carry.

With dimensions of 150 x 130 x 53mm, the VEO XF 8×42 remains compact enough for travel, birding and everyday outdoor use.

Tripod and Digiscoping Compatibility

The Vanguard VEO XF 8×42 also supports tripod and smartphone digiscoping setups. A BA-185 tripod adaptor can be used to attach the binoculars to a compatible 1/4″ tripod thread.

In addition, the VEO PA-62 digiscoping adaptor supports smartphones between 59mm and 90mm wide. Therefore, users can capture and share their observations using a compatible smartphone setup.
